Compostable foil labels based on renewable raw materials

Mail Druck + Medien GmbH, Bünde, manufactures foil labels under the trademark Das grüne Etikett^®, which are obtained from renewable raw material sources.

Bünde, 7th February, 2018. Natureflex foil are processed, which are produced both in white and transparent with wood fibre from controlled cultivation. Both types of film are biodegradable in commercial and private composting systems.

The foil labels are printed with food-certified inks that do not contain any mineral oils or solvents. Production is completely digital, without the use of plastic clichés or chemically developed printing plates. Even punching dies are no longer necessary, as innovative laser cutting technology is used. It goes without saying that labels for organic products will continue to be produced on uncoated paper.

For many producers and traders of organic products, sustainability and ecological responsibility are part of the company profile. They also want to make this approach clear in the packaging of their products. Das grüne Etikett^® now offers an environmentally friendly way of labelling.

From 14th to 17th February, 2018 in Hall 8, Stand 8-212 at Biofach 2018, various label samples can be assessed and further information on the labelling of organic products can also be obtained.
