Das grüne Etikett^® is a brand of Mail Druck + Medien GmbH. For the first time, the company was represented at BIOFACH 2018 with its own trade fair appearance as an exhibitor, especially with this product line. For many producers and traders of organic products, sustainability and ecological responsibility are part of the company profile. They also want to make this approach clear in the packaging of their products. Das grüne Etikett^® now offers a truly environmentally friendly way of labelling.

Bünde, February 21st, 2018 Of course, the market already offers a number of individual organic labels. But as a decision-maker you should take a closer look! There are few printing processes in the printing industry that can really print with food-safe inks. And when it comes to small or medium runs, it becomes particularly difficult. In general, only digital printing is considered to keep costs down, but the ecological aspect is usually not feasible.

For this reason, Mail Druck + Medien GmbH converted its product line in 2009 and launched a completely new brand Das grüne Etikett^® on the market. Initially with a biodegradable and compostable film in white and transparent. Today, the selection of materials includes different varieties and thus offers a very good selection for the most diverse products. In addition to the bioplastics, recycled paper, stone paper and especially the grass paper "everything as adhesive material" were the top sellers at BIOFACH!

For Das grüne Etikett^®, only label materials made of washable raw materials are used, also for film labels. All printing inks are food safe, without mineral oil, solvents and additives. The adhesives are vegan and even completely biodegradable. Despite these environmentally friendly advantages, printability and utility are not restricted.

Production at Mail Druck + Medien is completely digital and highly automated. No plastic clichés or chemically developed printing plates are required. And even during processing and punching, resources are saved through the use of self-developed laser cutting systems. No punching plates or other tools are required.

Mail Druck + Medien not only saves valuable raw materials and environmentally harmful substances, but also considerable costs.

Christina Schulze Föcking, Minister for Environment, Agriculture, Conservation and Consumer Protection of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia was very interested in the unique production of eco-friendly labels at the Mail Druck + Medien stand. Das grüne Etikett^® is a symbol and does something good for the environment and our future.
